LET MY PEOPLE GO! DON’T GIVE UP ON GOD!
Pharaoh, Pharaoh, Pharaoh! If you don’t believe that my God can perform miracles, you haven’t been paying attention.
Here we go, Passover. One of the holiest of holiest for the Jews.
Why do we tell this story every year? Because tradition tell us that God is there, listening, watching and waiting to strike down our enemies no matter how powerful they may seem. And he is an angry God, don’t ever forget that. He can be merciful but he is jealous and will have no other before him. And yet he my God is merciful or else why are we still here?
On this day, the Sabbath before Passover, it is indeed a special day. No matter what happens, no matter how many lies they tell about us, no matter how many blood libels they put on us and no matter how many times they try to kill us, our God proves them wrong.
What they don’t understand they never will. What makes us so special? Why have we survived for so long? Why do they hate us so?
Envy is a terrible thing. We are more united than ever. It is sad that it takes such a horrific event to wake the spiritual connection that Jews have with each other. It brings me to tears for those who have someone in captivity and those who lost loved ones and almost a whole generation on October 7th, a new Shoah.
