Why a thousand years from now people will still listen to Prince

I decided to take a break from writing about all the wars going on in the world and all the psychological stuff I’m usually known for. That’s what music is all about, making you forget your problems and worries.

I am admittedly one of the biggest fans of this music legend and yes a bit obsessed with his work and the man. Every now and then I watch the movie ‘Purple Rain’ it makes me sad that this music icon is no longer around. But the legacy he left for the world is inspiring. He was in my opinion, absolutely singular and I’ll tell you why.

He wasn’t just an amazing talent, he was also a humanitarian and a great business man. He was one of the reason we can no longer download music for free and he made sure that artists would be compensated fairly for their work.

I have to say first that the comparisons to Michael Jackson irritate me a bit. I’m not knocking Michael Jackson here. He was as well an amazing talent and also a singular performer. But, it does bother me a bit because it really is comparing apples and oranges.

Prince as he was known by his real first name, was a true musician in every sense of the word. He played so many instruments, sang and danced and produced his own music not to mention how many other artist he…
